Horsham Learning Alliance Launches -
A New Chapter For Local Education
We are proud to launch the Horsham Learning Alliance (HLA), a new multi-academy trust established by Collyer’s and The Forest School. From today, 1st September, HLA begins its journey to improve the lives of local young people through the power of education.
Shaped through extensive collaboration since March 2023 and following a successful public consultation in April, the Trust is now ready to begin its journey. Rooted in Horsham, HLA is founded on a collegiate ethos, committed to inclusivity and driven by an ambition for every young person to flourish.
By working together, schools within the Trust can share expertise and resources, offering broader opportunities for students and staff and ensuring resources are reinvested into teaching and learning.
Dan Lodge, CEO of HLA and Executive Principal of Collyer’s, said:
“Today marks an exciting new chapter for education in Horsham. Establishing the Horsham Learning Alliance has been a long but rewarding journey and it would not have been possible without the hard work and commitment of staff and governors across Forest and Collyer’s. Their dedication has got this project off the ground, and we are proud to launch a Trust that we truly believe will make a lasting difference to young people and their families in our community.”
Ian Straw, Deputy CEO of HLA and Headteacher of The Forest School, added:
"We are fortunate to have such strong individual schools in Horsham. HLA will bring these institutions together, delivering incredible benefits to the education of local young people."
Looking ahead, HLA aims to grow, welcoming additional schools and extending these benefits to more young people in Horsham and the surrounding area.
